Crispy Sweet & Sour Pork
A traditional sweet and sour sauce tops crispy chunks of pork tempura and fresh-cut vegetables, all on a bed of steamed white rice. Our Crispy Sweet & Sour Pork is a crowd pleaser. Includes steamable rice pouch.
Cooking Instructions
Keep frozen until use. Cook thoroughly.
Remove sauce packet; thaw in warm water.
STOVETOP (recommended):
To Cook Pork and Vegetables:
- Heat 1½ Tbsp. vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Immediately add pork and stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes, or until pork is golden brown.
- Remove pork from pan and set aside.
- Add vegetables and stir-fry 4 to 5 minutes.
- Turn off heat, add sauce and stir 30 seconds.
- Add pork, stirring to coat with sauce.
To Cook Rice: Do not cut, puncture or open steamable pouch.
- Microwave rice pouch, seam side up, on high 2 to 3 minutes.
- Let stand 1 minute.
- Open pouch with caution. Steam will be hot.
- Serve with pork and vegetables.
Or,
- Empty rice into a skillet on stovetop.
- Add 1 Tbsp. water, cover and cook over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Serve immediately with pork and vegetables.
MICROWAVE (not recommended):
Do not cook in container. Only rice pouch is microwaveable. Do not place any other packaging in microwave.
Remove sauce packet; thaw in warm water.
To Cook Pork and Vegetables:
- Empty pork into a microwave-safe dish.
- Heat uncovered for 1 to 1½ minutes. Set pork aside.
- Empty vegetables into a microwave-safe dish and cover.
- Heat on high 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir sauce into vegetables. Re-cover and heat on high 30 seconds.
- Let stand 1 minute.
- Add pork, stirring to coat with sauce.
To Cook Rice: Do not cut, puncture or open steamable pouch.
- Microwave rice pouch, seam side up, on high 2 to 3 minutes
- Let stand 1 minute.
- Open pouch with caution. Steam will be hot.
- Serve with pork and vegetables.
